- From 21 November, Christmas themed windows at Ballantynes open for viewing
- 28 November – 30 December, Christchurch Christmas Lightshow – 650 Shands Road, 8:30pm – midnight
- 6 December, Carols in the Square – Family entertainment from 4-6pm, followed by a sing-a-long Carol Service from 6-7pm
- 7 December, Santa Parade – Riccarton Road from 2pm
- 12 – 24 December, The Christmas Grotto Experience – South West Baptist Church, 244 Lyttelton Street, Spreydon
- 20 December, A Cantabrian Christmas – Issac Theatre Royal 6:30pm
- 24 December, YMCA Carols by Candlelight – Latimer Square from 9-10pm
