Enjoy a pleasant guided cycle tour out to the Christchurch Farmers’ Market at the historic Riccarton House. Sample some of Canterbury’s finest produce and mingle with the locals while soaking up the ambience and listening to live music. (Saturday mornings)

Starting in Cathedral Square you are fitted with a bike and helmet. Your friendly guide leads you along the lovely, cobbled Worcester Boulevard past the Arts Centre, and through Hagley Park. You will enjoy biking on the traffic free cycle-ways with plenty of open space and fresh air.

It is a fifteen minute leisurely bicycle ride out to the lovely grounds and homestead of Riccarton House and the Christchurch Farmers’ Market. Nestled in amongst the Oak trees beside the stream, you will soak up the ambience of live music and sample some delicious locally grown produce and gourmet food. You quickly forget that you are still in the city!

You will pedal back through the beautiful estate of Mona Vale, with its sculptured gardens, through the leafy Little Hagley Park and onward to Cathedral Square.
