Christmas Market Week in Christchurch  
Taste Events Co are running a week of Christmas Markets from Monday 19th December to Friday 23rd December at Riccarton House. Running daily from 4pm – 7pm there will be a combination of the Christchurch Farmers Market and the Sunday Artisan Market.

The market will include a selection of Arts and crafts stalls, Christmas goodies, local music, the Stella Artois Garden Bar, Christmas carols and much more.

The Riccarton House Bistro will also be serving food during the markets. The markets are a great opportunity to buy fresh produce for your Christmas dinner, find the perfect gift or simply relax and enjoy the stunning grounds of Riccarton House and Bush.

New I-site in Christchurch  
Christchurch's i-SITE Visitor Centre has reopened in a specially-designed portable building on Rolleston Avenue, next to Canterbury Museum.

It's an easy walk to attractions such as Christchurch Bike Tours , Punting on the Avon, the Canterbury Museum, Caterpillar Tours at the Botanic Gardens and the North Hagley Park Events Village which is going to be home to some great events over the summer, including the World Buskers Festival in January.


The new i-SITE Visitor Centre is a one-stop shop for visitors and locals looking for travel advice. It also offers ticketing for many key Christchurch tourism activities, including Christchurch Bike Tours , various accommodation and transport for the Canterbury region and the whole of New Zealand.

Canterbury Museum Photo Exhibition - Hard on the Heels 
The Hard on the Heels exhibition in Canterbury is drawn from rugby photographer Peter Bush's vast library of photographs — including personal favourites and the controversial and candid behind-the-scenes shots. New Zealand's leading rugby photographer, Peter Bush, describes capturing an All Blacks game as "a total workout".

Featuring over 100 images of great All Black moments, games and players over a 60-year period, the Hard on the Heels exhibition at the Canterbury Museum is drawn from Bushy's vast library of photographs and features personal favourites, the controversial and contentious, alongside humorous, candid behind-the-scenes shots.


Hard on the Heels exhibition is running January 29, 2012 - at the Canterbury Museum on Rolleston Avenue.

2011 BMW NZ Open to be hosted by Christchurch 
Clearwater Golf Club will host the 2011 BMW Golf Tournament from Thursday 1 to Sunday 4 December, 2011. It is a privilege to be hosting top New Zealand golfers such as Michael Campbell, Ryan Fox and Mathew Perry on Canterbury greens.

Canterbury A & P Show
