The Metro Gold on Worchester Street is a great place to experience a Movie.... My husband and I treated ourselves in the weekend and went to see the New Zealand made movie "Boy". We enjoyed our big comfy seats, great coffee from the Lyttelton Coffee Company, fine wine and some salty peanuts....
There are three theatres, each is unique and décor is modelled on the grand picture palaces, all fitted with the latest cinema systems, all with luxurious armchairs, and all offering top quality films in a sophisticated relaxing environment.
We will definitely going back to the Metro Gold for another movie experience soon...

Lyttleton Port of Christchurch (LPC) is giving you the chance for a look at it's operations with one of its popular free harbour cruises on the historic tug "Lyttleton" or the Black Cat. Guests will get excellent views of Banks Peninsula's Quail Island, Lyttleton's Time Ball and an overview of how the port functions.
