The Complete History of Christchurch (abridged)
Date: Wednesday 1st - Sunday 19th February
Times: 2pm & 7pm performances
Where: Daffodil Lawn, Botanic Gardens
A light-hearted look at Christchurch – recent history, including the current earthquake situation, as well as right back to the colonists and Ngāi Tahu – all done in under 90 minutes.
The show will be performed by The Outwits, a well-known talented group made up of experienced performers: Greg Cooper, Jared Corbin and Andrew Ford. Mark Hadlow has also performed with The Outwits and has taken time out from his work on The Hobbit to direct this unique and inspiring performance as a way, along with the boys, of giving something back to the people of Christchurch.

Air New Zealand has won Air Transport World’s prestigious Airline of the Year award for the second time in three years.
In the eyes of the judges, Air New Zealand was the best airline in the world in the past twelve months.
The ATW judges lauded Air New Zealand’s industry-leading innovation and motivation of its staff, which had resulted in exceptional performance across the airline in market position, customer service, fiscal management and operational safety.
They described Air New Zealand as an industry trendsetter in a number of areas including product innovation and social media.
Judges were also impressed with the airline’s environmental initiatives including its commitment to operating a very young and highly fuel efficient fleet.
Air New Zealand Chief Executive Officer Rob Fyfe, who will travel to Singapore next month to collect the award, said today’s announcement came as a huge thrill.
“Winning ATW Airline of the Year in 2010 was in my view one of the greatest accolades that had ever been bestowed on Air New Zealand - in our industry it’s equivalent to winning an Oscar. To pick up the award again this year is simply outstanding.”

We love receiving feedback from people that have joined us on our tour. Below is an email that landed into our inbox this morning...
Hi Stephanie
We really enjoyed the christchurch bike tour and Jacky was a great guide. She really tailored her presentations for us as locals and the Australians on board too. I learned quite a bit. At all times we felt safe with her guidance through the dodgier areas where the roading and traffic flow wasn't as smoothe as it once was.
I will recommend this activity to anyone - visitors to Chch and locals. Well done you for keeping the business going through thick and thin...
Ps - I learnt about the tours after reading the Escape artice in The Press. It has also increased my reading of Escape too.
Keep up the great work!
Helen, Barbara and Ken
